August Simair farmed the quarter section across the Whitesand River valley from Julius Simair, and raised sheep for market. I remember him as a large old man with a big white beard. Lydia and Auguste Simair raised Louison's two children Joseph and Mary as Louison was not able to raise his children for reasons unknown.
